Description
This pre-solicitation notice is to inform that the VA Medical Center, Bath, New York will be posting a solicitation on or about July 2, 2019 for Emergency Power for Chiller, B-76 at the Bath VA Medical Center. Project No. 528A6-17-621. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The contractor shall provide all the specified materials, labor and equipment to upgrade the circuit feeding the Trane chiller that supports the Lab, 4th & 6th floors of building 76 at the Bath VAMC campus. Physical installation and all materials will be provided by the contractor. Work to be completed by the contractor shall include: Installation of all required conduits. Removal & installation of 1ea 600 Amp ASCO ATS, 1ea 600 Amp breaker in Generator building. Conduits & new feeders shall be installed per drawing notes. A coordination study shall be completed by the electrical contractor to ensure that the circuit breakers feeding the ATS & chiller are adjusted to protect the chiller. The ATS & circuit breaker that are being removed for replacement shall be provided to the VA for future use. The contractor shall perform a functional test of the ATS and at the completion of the circuit transfer to the new ATS the contractor shall have the ASCO technician coordinate and adjust the sequence of operations to align with the current ATS sequencing. Unless otherwise directed by the COR, work shall be performed in accordance with construction drawings and specifications and other standards and regulations as detailed or specified. This contract shall include all other items not shown on the contract drawings or called out in the specifications but are necessary to make an operable system. This procurement is 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses. The NAICS code is 238210. The small business standard is $15 M. The cost range is $100,000 to $250,000. Information regarding the one and only site visit scheduled will be stated in the Solicitation. A 20% Bid Bond must be submitted with the bid. Performance and Payment bonds will be required.
