Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This notice does NOT constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, or invitation for bid. Market Research is being conducted to determine interest. The intent of this notice is to identify potential offerors for Market Research purposes and to determine whether to set-aside the requirement for Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business, 8(a), Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), Woman Owned Small Business and HUBZone. The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Richmond, VA is trying to determine interest and whether to set-aside a contract to provide lodging to support pre- and post-operative care for transplant patients and their caregivers. The expected performance period is October 1, 2019 through September 30, 2020; with four option years (if exercised). The NAICS code is 624221. The size standard is $25.5 Million. This is a Sources Sought notice only. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. The scope of the acquisition is to provide a non-personnel services contract for Temporary lodging service for the Richmond VAMC Organ Transplant Program for Veteran patients and their caregiver referred for this service through the VA National Surgical Office. The services will be utilized for those cased referred by VA Medical Centers (primary VAMC) across the country that cannot be accommodated by a VA-in house transplant program for reasons such as, but not limited to scheduling, capacity or waiting lists. Contractor will provide the following lodging services as specified herein for eligible veterans and their caregivers. Provide lodging service for referred Organ Transplant patients and their caregivers on a short- or long-term basis until patient is medically able to be discharged home. Ensure that all organ transplant patients and their caregivers have a signed referral form. Ensure that all organ transplant patients and caregivers being lodged are provided an orientation of the lodging facility, including fire and safety information and whom to call in an emergency. Provide rooms equipped with special lodging needs the transplant patient may require; such as medical beds, multi-position sleep chairs, and separate kitchen and storage facilities with key coded locks for everyone. Endure the cleanliness and sanitary conditions of the room provide both pre ­and post-operative control of infection. Aware of all laws, regulations, policies and procedures relating to Privacy, Confidentiality and HIPPA and complies with all standards. Comply with all related regulations and VHA Directives including VHA 1107 VA Fisher Houses and Other Temporary Lodging and Solid Organ and Bone Marrow Transplant VHA Directive 2012-018.
