- Description
- Statement of Work 3D Reconstruction Modeling of Vascular Imaging Introduction: Service Contract to provide 3D vascular imaging services for Vascular Surgery at VA West Roxbury. This is a Non-Personal Services Firm Fixed Price request for 3D reconstruction modeling on CT images for VA Boston Healthcare System (VA BHS). Contractor shall provide all necessary personnel supervision, labor, equipment, and materials necessary to provide said services pursuant to work statement described herein. Background: Vascular surgeons within the Vascular Surgery component of the surgical service at the VA BHS require access to a computerized three-dimensional (3D) interactive vascular repair modeling and measurement tool. Computerized interactive reconstructions provide unique valuable clinical input for patients who may be candidates for specialized vascular and other unusual clinical situations. In all cases, the computerized interactive reconstructions allow the provider to obtain extremely accurate centerline measurements and to create model endovascular repairs in a manner and degree of accuracy not available through routine CT scan software. Scope: The original CT datasets for VA patients are generated on station using VA CT scanners. Data will be loaded onto disks and transported to the Contractor for development of the computerized interactive reconstructions in a manner consistent with VA Patient Information Security regulations. The Contractor will utilize software to transform the routine CT data into a form that allows interactive measurements and treatment device planning ensuring the privacy, confidentiality, and security of patient data in accordance with VA regulations. The Contractor will provide VA staff access to VA Patient data and unique computerized interactive constructions via password protected Internet access. Access to any individual patient s interactive model will be limited to only those provider(s) who originally requested the service. 3-D models are composed of separate objects that allow the viewer to easily distinguish anatomical regions of interest. Centerlines are generated and can be used to calculate the length of any vessel segment. The orthogonal 2-D slices show a true cross-section of the vessel. The measuring tools allows the clinician to take dimensionally correct diameter measurements from the orthogonal slices. The contractor shall provide a web-based, HIPAA-compliant patient database. A virtual DICOM shall be provided to enable secure transfer of CT data over Internet from VA to contractor.
