- Efforts conducted by the US Navy have determined that Triumph Actuation Systems is the only vendor that has the ability to provide this service on the collet fingers. Triumph is the OEM on these items and currently delivers new collet fingers to DLA for the stock system. Due to limited numbers of new collet fingers available in the DLA system, there is a critical need to have material available to meet aircraft repair goals. As stated Triumph is the OEM of the collet fingers and has the requisite technical ability, equipment, engineering data etc., to be able to repair these items. See Sole Source document attached. US Navy plans to make a FFP Sole Source Commercial Purchase Order to Boeing, INC for such services.
