- AMENDMENT 0001 This amendment is issued to answer vendor questions and to provide a Revised Statement of Work. *****REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS***** This posting is best viewed at FAA Contract Opportunities, https://faaco.faa.gov. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), AAQ-500 - Regional Acquisitions, College Park, GA, is issuing Screening Information Request (SIR) Number 697DCK-19-R-00425 Grounds Maintenance, for the Knoxville System Support Center, TN. as detailed in the Specifications attached to the Solicitation in accordance with the Acquisition Management System (AMS) 3.2.2.2 Policy as supplemented with additional information included in this advertisement. NOTICE: The FAA has been exempted from several Federal laws and regulations as part of the 1996 DOT Appropriations Act, signed into law by President Clinton on November 15, 1995. Some of the exemptions include the Federal Acquisition Streamlining Act of 1994, the Small Business Act, the Competition in Contracting Act, and the Federal Acquisition Regulations. The FAA s Acquisition Management System (AMS), which became effective on April 1, 1996, is utilized in place of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). The NAICS code for this acquisition is 561730, Landscaping Services, and the small business size standard is $ 7.50 million average annual receipts over the past 3 fiscal years. SITE VISIT The FAA urges and expects offerors to inspect the site where the work will be performed. A site visits will be scheduled the week of June 24th, 2019. Information provided at this site visit, as well as answers to questions shall not change/qualify the terms and conditions of the solicitation and specifications. Terms remain unchanged unless the solicitation is amended in writing. ATTENDANCE AT THIS SITE VISIT IS STRONGLY ENCOURAGED. Any responses received after this date and time, will be deliberated in accordance with AMS provision 3.2.2.3-14, Late Submissions, Modifications, and Withdrawals of Submittals. It is the Offerors' responsibility to visit this website frequently for updates on this procurement. All questions shall be addressed to the Contracting Officer in writing. Any questions regarding this SIR/RFO must be received three (3) days prior to the date set aside for offers due. All correspondences shall contain the SIR # in the subject line.
