Page 1 of 1 INTRODUCTION: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) anticipates soliciting proposals and subsequently awarding a single contract for the Replace SPECT-CT and PET-CT project at the Iowa City VAMC. The proposed project will be awarded as a firm-fixed-price contract utilizing design-bid-build procedures. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Contractor to provide all labor, materials, tools, supplies, equipment and supervision necessary to perform work for construction project 36E77619B0006, Replace SPECT-CT and PET-CT Site Prep for the Iowa City VA Health Care System. in accordance with the drawings and specifications. Work includes, but not limited to, renovate Rooms 2W25, 2W45, and 4W60 in Building 1 in preparation for the installation of SPECT-CT and PET-CT scanners. Work includes, but is not limited to, general construction, alterations, mechanical and electrical work, utility systems, necessary demolition and removal of existing structures and certain other items necessary completion. All work shall be performed in accordance with solicitation/contract terms and conditions, specifications and drawings, and all applicable VA and local codes. Work will require 8 hour construction operations until complete. ADMINISTRATIVE: The solicitation will be issued as an Invitation for Bid (IFB) in accordance with FAR Parts 14, 19, and 36 and be evaluated in accordance with the procedures listed in the solicitation. The solicitation will be advertised as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small-Business Set-Aside. Offers received from other than Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small-Business concerns will not be considered. The applicable NAICS code is 236220 with a size standard of $36.5 million. The solicitation will be issued on or about July 3, 2019. All bids will be due by the date and time specified in the solicitation. Specifications and drawings will be provided as attachments to the solicitation posted to the Federal Business Opportunities website (https://www.fbo.gov). The period of performance is approximately 210 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. This notice is not a request for competitive offers. The Magnitude of Construction is expected to be between $500,000 and $1,000,000. All questions must be submitted in writing to the issuing office via email to Jason.Schultz@va.gov.
