Description
SPECIAL NOTICE NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE EEG CAP WORKSTATION The Department of Veterans Affairs, Louis Stokes Medical Center (CLE VAMC), Medical Service, 10701 East Blvd., Cleveland, OH 44106, intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106 - Contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. The NAICS code is 334111 with a small business size standard of 1,250. The VA intends to solicit and negotiate with Tucker Davis Technologies, Inc., 11930 Research Circle, Alachua, FL 32615 for an EEG Cap Workstation. The EEG Cap Workstation is needed at the CLE VAMC to research areas of the brain and developing models and patterns to create movement in human stroke and PD. It has unique characteristics that will assist in helping with patient care. The unique characteristics are: The software control is implemented with circuit files developed using TDT s RP Visual Design Studio (RPvdsEx). Circuits are loaded to the processor through TDT run-time applications such as OpenEx or custom applications via ActiveX controls Other persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by Wednesday, June 21, 2019 at 5 PM EST. Such capabilities information will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis.  All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government.   A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
