- Justification and Approval for: Other than Full and Open Competition The West Haven VA Medical Healthcare System intends to negotiate on a sole source basis pursuant to FAR 6.302 1 Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements with Neuwave Medical or its authorized dealers for the purchase of a Certus 140 2.45GHZ Ablation System. 1 CERTUS 140 -2.45GHZ ABLATION SYSTEM 1 EA BRAND NAME OR EQUAL TO: Certus 140 - 2.45GHz Ablation System Salient Characteristics The ablation system shall contain the following Features: - Ablation Confirmation-Imaging processing software to assist physicians in identifying ablation targets, assessing proper ablation probe placement and confirming ablation zones post-procedure. - 2.45 GHz Wavelength - Synchronized Energy Delivery Components - Tissue-Loc technology to prevent probe migration and with real time temperature feedback - Cooling System: CO2 -Probe ports per microwave unit: 3 total. One to Three probes can be Activated independently or simultaneously with one system. -Max power total probes: 195W -Max power single probe: 140W -17 gauge probes: 15cm and 20cm Lengths. 13 gauge surgical probes 25cm length - Tissue-specific probes: Liver/Kidney, Lung, Precision Precision Probe (PR): Forward weighted ablation zone, emitting 1cm back from tip. - Active, real time temperature feedback on each probe, displayed on the touch screen monitor -Cauterize mode for track ablation. -Touch Screen monitor -Call Home: Real time diagnostics, probe inventory management - Bed mounted Power Distribution Module - Triaxial probe design Preference will be given to SDVOSB, VOSB Vendors/Contractors who are currently verifiable in the Vets First Verification Program of the Vetbiz Registry. This Notice of Intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Parties may identify their interest, accompanied by supporting literature, to the Contract Specialist no later than June 24, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. Responses should be sent to Mary.Bosch@va.gov. Information received will used to determine whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. The determination to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
