Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, James J. Peters Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VISN 2 South), intends to award a sole-source, firm fixed price FSS Delivery Order (FSS-DO) to Abbott Laboratories, Inc., FSS Contract #36F79719D0024, in accordance with FAR Subpart 8.405-6. The acquisition sought is an FSS-DO that will cover consumables and supplies needed to produce a cost-per-reportable result (CPRR) and for the continued usage of contractor-owned equipment currently on-site at the James J. Peters Veterans Affairs Medical Center. VA personnel utilize the equipment and consumables to perform in-house testing of immunosuppressants including, but not limited to, HIV Ag/Ab p-24, Tacrolimus, Sirolimus, Cyclosporine, Syphilis, Hemoglobin A1c, Estradiol, Anti-TG. The NAICS is 334516 with a small business size standard of 1,000 employees. The current FSS-DO with Abbott Laboratories, Inc. will expire on September 30, 2019. The James J. Peters VA Medical Center is serving as a referral center for all kidney transplant Veteran patients for the East coast and throughout VISN2.   This FSS-DO is required as part of the technical requirements to serve these transplant patients, 24/7 rapid assays for immunosuppressants including sirolimus, tacrolimus, and cyclosporine are required to be available. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation will be made available. Any responses received no later than COB June 28, 2019 will be considered for the purposes of determining sources for future procurements. The Government will not pay for information submitted. Any information submitted in response to this notice of intent is strictly voluntary. This will be the only notice of the Government's intent to solicit, negotiate, and award to one source to satisfy this requirement.
