Description

United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Forest Service, National Forests in Alabama intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) under the number F12414619R0003. The resultant contract, if any, will be a firm fixed price (FFP) contract for Asphalt Trail Paving within the boundaries of the National Forests in Alabama. The work to be performed by the contractor consists of, but is not limited to, removal of existing asphalt pavement, brush cutting, clearing, root removal, seeding and mulching, excavation, placement of 825B aggregate base, and the placement of new hot mix asphalt (HMA) on two trails at the Clear Creek Campground of the National Forests in Alabama, specifically the Bankhead Ranger District on Lewis Smith Lake in Double Springs, AL. This construction project has a magnitude between $250,000 and $500,000 in accordance with FAR 36.204(e). Projects over $150,000 require a Payment and Performance Bond in accordance with FAR 28.102(a).
