SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS DESCRIPTION This is a SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS and is for informational / market research purposes only. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL, QUOTATION OR BID, NOR A SYNOPSIS OF A PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTION UNDER FAR SUBPART 5.2. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or on any follow up information. NO SOLICITATION IS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE. The purpose for this synopsis is to conduct market research to help identify capable, potential sources and to establish if this requirement can be set-aside for small business or other socio-economic programs to include: Small Business, 8(a) firms, Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUBZone), Women-Owned, Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned Small Business (EDWOSB) and Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). NAICS Code: 333120 Construction Machinery Manufacturing Small Business Size Standard: 1,250 Employees PSC/FSC: 3805 Earth Moving and Excavating Equipment GENERAL INFORMATION: The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to procure (1) Utility Tractor/Backhoe for the White City VA Medical Center Grounds department. Salient characteristics include: -Diesel powered minimum 70-75 hp diesel engine -2 speed minimum 57 hp PTO @540 rpm -Front Loader attachment minimum 2,500 lb. lift capacity -Rear turf tires 22.5LL-16.1 In.6PR R3 -Front turf tires 12LL-16.1 6PR R3 -Front adaptor on loader arms to use existing skidsteer attachments -Removable backhoe attachment with 14 bucket -72 minimum 3-point PTO flail mower attachment -Front brush grapple attachment -Full enclosed cab w/wipers, windshield and doors -Cast Steel frame for more lifting strength -Third function hydraulics with necessary fittings/hoses to drive various attachments both front and rear -2 ball hitch attachment -Heavy-duty front brushguard -Air suspension seat -Joystick controls for loader and attachments -2 rear view mirrors -3-point hitch ***Must have vendor/dealer to supply service within 25 miles of White City, OR INSTRUCTIONS TO RESPOND TO SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS: Any vendor interested and capable of meeting this requirement should provide a written statement to the Contracting Officer. Vendor response must include at a minimum: Name of Business Point of Contact Name, Phone Number, and E-Mail Address CAGE Code and DUNS Number to show proof of registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) https://www.sam.gov Short Description of Capabilities VETBIZ certification if applicable Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence of the Vendor s capability of meeting this requirement. Only authorized representatives of the manufacturer will be considered. Equipment must be new, no used or refurbished equipment accepted. Please note, responses will be shared within the Government and project team, but otherwise will be held in strict confidence.
