Description
THIS REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) IS ISSUED SOLELY FOR INFORMATION AND PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY AND DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A SOLICITATION. THE SUBMISSION OF PRICING, CAPABILITIES FOR PLANNING PURPOSES, AND OTHER MARKET INFORMATION IS HIGHLY ENCOURAGED AND ALLOWED UNDER THIS RFI IN ACCORDANCE WITH (IAW) FAR 15.201(e). DISCLAIMER This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked as proprietary will be handled accordingly. IAW FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. This is NOT a solicitation announcement. This is a sources sought/RFI only. The purpose of this sources sought/RFI is to gain knowledge of potential qualified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) or Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) under NAICS 333241. Responses to this sources sought will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this sources sought, a solicitation announcement may be published. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are not considered adequate responses for a solicitation announcement. SOURCES SOUGHT DESCRIPTION The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 22, VA San Diego Healthcare System, is seeking sources that can provide a Double Oven that at a minimum meets the following salient characteristics: 1) OVEN, DECK-TYPE, GAS BLODGETT MODEL 981 DOUBLE OVEN, DECK-TYPE, GAS 42"WX32"D DECK INTERIOR, 2 SECTIONS, CONSISTS OF 2 7" HIGH BAKING COMPARTMENTS PER SECTION, (FTDO) 200-500 DEGREES F MECHANICAL THERMOSTAT, COUNTER-BALANCED DOORS WITH HEAVY CHROME HANDLE, ANGLE IRON FRAME, STEEL DECK, CROWN ANGLE TRIM, ALUMINIZED STEEL INTERIOR, STAINLESS STEEL TOP, FRONT, SIDES & BACK, 7" STAINLESS STEEL ADJUSTABLE LEGS, 50,000 BTU PER SECTION, CETLUS, NSF 2 YEAR PARTS, 1 YEAR LABOR & 3 ADDITIONAL YEAR DOOR WARRANTY (PARTS ONLY), STANDARD NATURAL GAS STAINLESS STEEL DRAFT DIVERTER TOP SECTION FTDO 200-500 DEGREE TEMPERATURE CONTROL, STANDARD BOTTOM SECTION FTDO 200-500 DEGREE TEMPERATURE CONTROL, STANDARD 7" LETS, STAINLESS STEEL (SET), STANDARD STK#BLODGETT 981 DOUBLE 1 EA 2) SAFETY SYSTEM MOVEABLE GAS CONNECTOR DORMONT MANUFACTURING MODEL NO 1675KITCFS48 DORMONT BLUE HOSE MOVEABLE GAS CONNECTOR KIT, 3/4" INSIDE DIAMETER, 48" LONG, COVERED WITH STAINLESS STEEL BRAID, COATED WITH ANTIMICROBIAL PVC, 1 SAFETY QUIK QDV, 1 SWIVEL MAX, & COILED RESTRAINING CAPABLE WITH HARDWARE, 167,000 BTU/HR MINIMUM FLOW CAPACITY, LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY 1 EA 3) INSTALLATION TO INCLUDE REMOVAL OF EXISTING OVEN(S) TO CUSTOMER PROVIDE LOCATION WITHIN THE SAME BUILDING & ON THE SAME FLOOR, MOVING OF NEW UNIT FROM CUSTOMER RECEIVING AREA TO FINAL LOCATION, ASSEMBLY, CONNECTION OF UTILITIES, START-UP & CALIBRATION TO FACTORY WARRANTY SETTINGS 1 EA 4) Shipping & Handling (Not to Exceed $249.00) 1 S&H SCOPE OF WORK DISHWASHER, POT/PAN/UTENSIL, DOOR TYPE REMOVAL & INSTALLATION STATEMENT OF WORK SAN DIEGO VA HEALTHCARE SYSTEM NUTRITION & FOOD SERVICE INTRODUCTION The purpose of this Statement of Work (SOW) is to outline the installation of OVEN, DECK TYPE, GAS for Nutrition and Food Service (NFS) at VA San Diego Healthcare System (VASDHS). SCOPE Upon Ordering of the Equipment, Shipping & Installation Shall Include: Removal of existing equipment: Removal and disposal of like model existing equipment. New equipment shall be moved into the facility, uncrated, set in place & leveled according to factory recommendations and comply with facility resources & requirements. Final assembly of equipment. Final connections: Final utility connections shall be made on all applicable equipment. Utilities must be present and within 36 of final connection point. The facility is responsible for providing all utilities and drain plumbing. Final connections do not include fabrication of exhaust ducting for dish-machine or any other equipment. Start up: Start up, operation/leak check shall be performed per manufacturer specifications. A site survey will be required prior to award for purposes of proper proposal. Installation will occur over a one day or period of multiple contiguous days. Work performed in the most efficient method to reduce down time and observing measures of safety & well-being for all in or around the facility. Removal of all waste: Contractor will remove all cardboard, refuse, debris, etc. from site daily during installation period for proper disposal off site. Training: NFS staff will require equipment operation instruction. Warranty to cover issues related to the construction and operation of the equipment. Installation Shall Not Include the Following: Construction-related work: No walls, floors, ceilings, or other structures shall be penetrated or modified in any way. No structural components of the building shall be modified. Utility disconnect hardware: Final utility connection does not include shut-offs, disconnects, gauges, controls, breakers or any other building utility components. Ventilation Hood(s): This quotation does not include provisions for, or installation of, any ventilation hood(s). REQUIREMENTS: Must provide secure containment around installation area that meets infection control and safety requirements and is approved by VASDHS Project Manager Space shall be clean prior to, during, and after instillation of new equipment. Installation work will be done during outside of normal working hours, between 5:30pm-5:30am Monday thru Friday unless otherwise agreed upon by Nutrition and Food Services. Installation work that requires access to the interstitial space requires an Asbestos Certificate (16 hour class). All equipment and parts must be new and never installed or used before. The install and start up teams must include factory trained representatives on site to ensure the install and start-up are per the manufacturer s specifications, and the machine functions per the manufacturer s specifications. It is the responsibility of the interested source to demonstrate to the government that the interested parties can provide the supplies/services that fulfill the required specifications. If so, please provide their company name, telephone, point of Contact and size status (if available). If you re a small business and you are an authorized distributor/reseller for the items identified above (or an equivalent solution), do you alter; assemble; modify; the items requested in any way? If you do, state how and what is altered; assembled; modified? Does your company have an FSS contract with GSA or the NAC or are you a contract holder with NASA SEWP or any other federal contract? If so, please provide the contract type and number. If you are an FSS GSA/NAC or NASA SEWP contract holder or other federal contract holder, are the referenced items/solutions you are providing information for available on your schedule/contract? Please provide general pricing of your products/solution for market research purposes. Please submit your capabilities in regard to the salient characteristics being provided and any information pertaining to brand name or equal to items to establish capabilities for planning purposes. No remanufactures or gray market items will be acceptable. Vendor shall be an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), authorized dealer, authorized distributor or authorized reseller verified by an authorization letter or other documents from the OEM. Responses must be received no later than Tuesday June 25th at 12:00 P.M. PST. If a solicitation is issued it shall be announced at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this request for information.
