- This request for information (RFI)/Sources Sought is being conducted to identify potential sources for the manufacture and/or repair of Windscreen Amplifier used as part of the Advanced Targeting Forward Looking Infrared Radar (ATFLIR) used on the US Navy and US Marine Corps F/A-18. Please note this RFI/Sources Sought is for market research only and does not constitute intent to purchase or contract with a contractor. The content of this message does not constitute direction, authorization, or intent to expend funds. Contractors responding to this market research are placed on notice that participation in this RFI may not ensure participation in future solicitations or contract awards. The government will not reimburse participants for any expenses associated with their participation in this RFI/Sources Sought. The Windscreen Amplifier, part number 6464391, NIIN 015164398 is a component of the F/A-18 ATFLIR system, which is used for target detection and ordinance guidance. The Navy is seeking sources for both its repair and manufacture. All responsible potential sources may identify their interest and provide capability statements in response to this notice. The government does not possess the data necessary to perform the required repairs for the item or its manufacture. Government Source Approval is required for either repair or manufacture. WSS will not delay award of any potential future requirements while Source Approval is pending. Please direct all correspondence to the designated point of contact. Interested parties should contact the POC no later than 4:30 P.M. Eastern, June 26th, 2019. The Government will take all responses under consideration. A follow-on solicitation may or may not occur as a result of this request.
