Description
This announcement serves as a notice of intent to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 541620; the small business size standard is $15 Million. This is the only announcement that will be issued prior to award. The Bureau of Reclamation intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Stetson Engineering, Inc. for an additional alternative for the conveyance of water to the Mendota Wildlife Area. The additional alternative study will be included with, and compared to, four alternative studies previously completed by Stetson Engineering, Inc. This additional alternative to be studied was considered while completing the previous four studies, however the previous contract period of performance expired prior to being able to study this alternative. The additional alternative will be compared with the original four alternatives studied and included in a final report to determine how best to meet the objectives of the Central Valley Project Improvement Act. Firms believing that they can provide the services above must provide a written capability statement to the Contracting Officer with supporting evidence that demonstrates the respondent's ability to meet the stated requirements. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. All responses received within 5 calendar days of the date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the direction of the government. Information received in response to this synopsis will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses should be emailed to the Government point of contact for this acquisition at jgantar@usbr.gov. No other submission will be accepted.
