Description

Please note that this is NOT a request for quotes or proposals, the Government is seeking information for market research purposes only. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 2 is currently conducting a market survey for qualified firms capable of providing repairs on a 2006 Freightliner 28 Passenger Bus for the Montrose Campus of the VA Hudson Valley Health Care System. This is for a one-time, non-recurring requirement. The bus currently has a check engine light indicator light on. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and supervision to correct issues with the bus and restore to perfect working order to be put back into service. The towing cost of the vehicle from the Montrose Campus to the Vendor must be included within the final quote, this will be a firm fixed-price procurement. During the solicitation phase, vendors may arrange a site visit to further examine the bus. Preliminary diagnostic review revealed the following issues with the Cummins Engine which will required repair: Repair / replacement of leaking radiator Electronic fuel control actuator is sticking and will need to be repaired/replaced Air Intake grid heater is malfunctioning and will need to be repaired/replaced Air Intake connection boost leaks and will need to be repaired/replaced Air Filter is clogged, will need to be replaced EGR vale stuck will need to be repaired/replaced EGR Temperature Sensor is stuck in-range will need to be repaired/replaced Air/EGR Venturi air flow metering sensor drifted and will need to be repaired/replaced Engine Fuel filter is restricted and will need to be repaired/replaced Fuel/water separator is restricted and will need to be repaired/replaced EGR value position sensor is malfunctioning and will need to be repaired/replaced Those capable of providing these services should submit a statement regarding their capability on a document containing the official company letterhead. Additionally, those interested and capable shall provide a designated point of contact, the business DUNS Number, and the business Socioeconomic status in their response to this posting. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) is 811111. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification/ socioeconomic status (service-disabled veteran owned small business, veteran owned small business, HUB Zone, 8(a), small business or large business), relative to NAICS 811111. Responses to this notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Responses to this notice should include company/individual name, a service capability statement, examples of similar facilities for which you have provided services to, DUNS number, address, point of contact and social-economic category (ex: SBVOSB, VOSB, 8(a), HUBZone, WOSB, EDWOSB, Small Business). If your firm is a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned or Veteran Owned Small Business, you must be VERIFIED in VetBiz (see internet site: http://vip.vetbiz.gov). Contractor must be registered in System for Award Management (SAM), formerly CCR (see internet site: http://www.sam.gov).
