Description
The Department of Veteran Affairs, Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center, 109 Bee Street, Charleston, SC 29401 has a requirement for medical grade operating room shelving. Requirement is Brand Name or Equal and the quoter must meet all salient characteristics as well as the required delivery schedule listed below. The Government expects to award to a single contractor a contract which shall be Firm Fixed Price with a firm quantity. This requirement is being set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business participation only. NAICS 500 employees. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considered. All questions regarding this solicitation must be in writing and must include telephone number, fax number and point of contact to Attn: Joseph Locke, Contracting Officer; joseph.locke@va.gov. Operating Room Storage Remodel Salient Characteristics Modular shelving system designed for regular size surgical trays, oversized trays, and sterile disposables. Custom height of uprights needs to be 73 to meet ceiling clearance required by joint commission. Shelving units must be tooled aluminum for superior weight capacity and since aluminum decreases bacteria growth. Total purchase of 173 shelving units with dust covers. 3 casters with double brakes for heavier load capacities. Snap on Adjustable rails(toolless) that are adjustable every 1 from center to maximize vertical space to achieve most space gains. Rail stopper for safety to protect staff from dislodged shelves and basket. Units must be modular to allow single, double, triple, or quad arrangement of shelves. Clear baskets in 2,4,8, and 11-inch sizes. Basket must have variety of divider options to segment each basket for optimal storage. Basket stops, U, and T segment dividers 2,4,8, and 11-inch dividers in varied lengths to segments area. Label holder flap for each tray and basket Order must be 100% fulfilled and delivered by 8/15/19. All work shall be completed between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Friday. All federal holidays, excluded. If there is an operational conflict with installation, night or weekend installation may be required. Government will provide a 72 hours' notice of change of installation hours Contractor must provide, transport, install, and test all equipment The Contractor shall provide, transport, install, and test all listed equipment. The Contractor shall furnish all supplies, equipment, and services required for delivery and installation of the supplies and equipment. The Contractor is responsible for any missing parts and components not included to carry out the installation. Contractor shall deliver all equipment to Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center, 109 Bee Street, Charleston, SC. 29401 All products to be assembled in an adjustable yet generic/uniform fashion. That is, each unit will be constructed, All the same unless otherwise notified prior to the assembly by the end user about a specific configuration. Any dividers and label holders ordered will be kept with the units, but since those accessories are very custom in nature and not utilized until the stored product is loaded into the units, those will not be installed. They will be left with the storage units for the end user to place as needed. Evaluation team reserves the right to have on-site inspection of all proposed items in bid to ensure meet our needs.
