Description
This is a notice of the intent that WR-ALC anticipates issuing Solicitation to acquire non-recurring engineering (NRE) services to resolve Obsolete Part and Vanishing Vendor issues with the AN/ALQ-172, Line Replaceable Unit (LRU)-21, NSN 5895-01-485-6252EW, P/N: 2680721G00. The proposed contract action is for engineering services procurement for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate a Cost Plus Fixed Fee with Cost Reimbursement No Fee for Travel contract containing only, 36 month period of performance with only one source under "Other than Full and Open Competition by Federal Acquisition Regulations 6.302-1; only one responsible source; Harris, formerly Exelis (Cage Code: 28527). However, interested person(s) may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposal(s). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. SOLICITATION WILL BE ISSUED 15 DAYS OR THEREAFTER FROM THIS NOTICE. However, Interested Party or Person(s) may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit a proposal(s). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. All proposals received within the 30 days after issuance of solicitation, or 45 days after the publication date of the synopsis will be considered. OMBUDSMAN: All potential offeror(s) should contact the buyer/PCO identified above for additional information and/or to communicate concerns, if any, concerning this acquisition. If the contracting officer does not satisfy your concerns, an Ombudsman has been appointed to hear serious concerns that are not resolved through established channels. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate serious contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process. When appropriate, potential offeror (s) may contact Ombudsman Timothy R Inman at 478-222-4097.
