Description
This effort is a follow-on acquistion strategy for a previous contract that expires 25 September 2019. This contract provides engineering support for the Integrated Support Station (ISS) utilitized by AN/ALR-56M installed on multiple DoD aircraft to ensure effective operations against RF threats. This task requires specialized system knowledge, advanced Radar Warning Receiver (RWR) capabilities, rapid software analysis, detailed software defect correction, configuration changes and other development to meet mission requirements of the ISS. Specialized knowledge is required for system investigations and analysis to ensure continued system operation and maintenance, identification, review, assessment, and resolution of deficiencies. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate a fair and reasonable price in accordance with FAR 15 and FAR 6.302. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. This requirement will be sole source to Northrop Gruman Systems Corporation, 2340 Dulles Corner Blvd, Herndon, VA 20171, Cage Code 5FVX5, under authority 10USC 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The software is proprietary to Northrop Grumman and they have the system knowledge required to resolve certain highly technical issues that will reduce any unacceptable delays and duplication of costs to the Government. This contract period of performance is for one year.
