Description

Generator Preventive Maintenance Service Oklahoma City VAMC The contractor shall provide Generator Preventive Maintenance Services. All work shall be coordinated with the Oklahoma City VA Health Care System s COR. INSPECTION SERVICES: General: Contractor shall provide: scheduled annual preventive maintenance services of generators, diesel fire pump and fuel analysis as specified within all updated manufacturer specifications and requirements. Contractor shall provide: all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for protection of VAMC personnel, furnishings, equipment and buildings from damage, and shall replace or repair any damage due to work performed under this contract equal to its original construction and finish. Contractor must have adequate insurance protection against negligent work and other forms and follow all federal, state, local regulations related to this requirement. All gauging and measurement equipment used shall be calibrated prior to use (within 1 calendar year) according to manufacturer s specifications or a standard traceable to the National Bureau of Standards. Note: Annuals shall occur in 1st or 2nd quarter and the same quarter of each following option year. Maintenance Services for Generator Sets: Annual Inspection/Service: Belts - Inspect/Adjust/Replace Cooling System Supplemental Coolant Additive (SCA) - Test/Add Heat Shield Inspect Stator Lead - Check Alternator - Inspect Cooling System Coolant Sample (Level 2) - Obtain Crankshaft Vibration Damper - Inspect Engine - Clean Engine Air Cleaner Element (Dual Element) - Clean/Replace Engine Crankcase Breather - Clean Engine Mounts - Check Engine Oil Sample - Obtain Engine Oil and Filter - Change Engine Protective Devices - Check Engine Valve Lash - Inspect/Adjust Fan Drive Bearing - Lubricate Fuel Injector - Inspect/Adjust Fuel System Primary Filter (Water Separator) Element - Replace Fuel System Secondary Filter - Replace Generator Bearing - Lubricate Generator Set Vibration - Test/Record Hoses and Clamps - Inspect/Replace Insulation - Test Louvers -Inspect/Adjust Pre-lube Pump - Inspect Radiator - Clean Speed Sensor - Clean/Inspect Starting Motor - Inspect Water Pump Inspect Maintenance Services for Fire Pump Annual Inspection/Service: Engine Oil and Filter Change Engine Oil Sample Obtain Coolant Sample Obtain Air Filter Replace Battery Operation Test Annual Fuel analysis: Annual analysis of each fuel tank shall be performed using appropriate ASTM standards or the manufacturer s recommendations: Obtain sample Provide report Location of performance VA Medical Center 921 N.E. 13th St. Oklahoma City, OK 73104 IMPORTANTR NOTE: This RFI (Request for Information) is for information only; no award will be made from this RFI.
