Description
This is a SYNOPSIS for commercial items prepared in accordance with the information in FAR Subpart 12.6, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures found at FAR Part 13, as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes only a synopsis; a written solicitation will be issued on or before July 11 2019. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SYNOPSIS WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. This synopsis SHALL be posted on both FEDBIZOPPS and NECO (http://www.neco.navy.mil/). The NAVSUP FLC Norfolk Philadelphia Office requests responses from qualified sources capable of providing two (2) Storage Arrays that will be used to store data and archive it on the NCIS network to support ongoing investigations. The specifications of these storage arrays will be provided for in the solicitation. Additionally, these storage arrays must be able to host virtual machines and maintain a sufficient level of IOPS (input/output operations per second) in order for read-write intensive applications such as PostgreSQL databases and Apache Nifi data processing nodes to function. Data stored on these arrays will be accessed over NFS (Network File Share) mounts and iSCSI LUNs (Logical Unit Number). Specifications were determined by NCIS in terms of effective storage, usable storage, array rack requirements, parts replacement, warranty, FIPS 140-2 compliance, security hardening, and training. The Solicitation number will be N00189-19-Q-Z351. The proposed contract action is for commercial FIRM FIXED PRICED SUPPLIES. The NAICS code is 334112 and the Small Business Standard is 1000. This acquisition is set aside for small business. The government ™s intent for this acquisition is to evaluate as Lowest Priced Technically Acceptable (LPTA) that must meet the minimum needs of the specifications determined by NCIS. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. The Government will neither award a contract nor pay for information in response to this notice. Any responses to this synopsis should be sent to the attention of James McDevitt at james.h.mcdevitt@navy.mil, these responses shall be received no later than 12:00 PM EST on 03 July 2019.
