?.## SOURCES SOUGHT This is a SOURCES SOUGHT announcement only. It is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for proposal or quote and does no obligate the Government to award a contract. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. Responses to this Sources Sought must be in writing. The purpose of this Sources Sought Announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential qualified businesses. Responses to this notice shall include: Company Name Address Point of Contact Phone, Fax, and Email DUNS number Cage Code Type of business, e.g. Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Veteran Owned Small Business, 8(a), HUB Zone, Women Owned Small Business, SDB Must provide a capability statement that addresses the organizations qualifications and ability to perform the work described below: The Kansas City VA Medical Center (KCVAMC) is looking to procure privacy curtains for the renovation of the GI Endoscopy area. The GI Endoscopy area is due to be ready for installation October 12th-24th 2019 and installation of these curtains should coincide with that date. The track is needed as part of this procurement. This solicitation uses a Brand Name or Equal Description of the product required. This permits prospective contractors to offer products other than those specifically referenced by brand name (Fabricare Draperies, Inc.). Procurement Requirements: Contractor shall provide the following components for the Privacy Curtains. Track: Track must match the existing track system at the KCVA. Check measure required for accurate measurements. Carriers: Carriers shall be compatible with track system installed as part of the construction. Contractor is responsible for verifying compatibility. Curtains: Curtains shall be fabricated using the Snap To It snap system that hides the snaps with removable mesh tops. Snap tape will not be visible on either side of the curtains and the curtain panels must be manufactured as single panels. Refer to chart below for specific locations of mesh, fabric and fabric specifications. #2 size grommets will be used for ease of installation and removal for laundering. Fabric shall be pattern Arc/Com pattern Avenue Montaigne in the color Mist #2. Fabric shall be 58% polyester, 42% post consumer recycled FR polyester, NFPA 701 compliant, designed for healthcare use and completely washable. See example below. A second set of curtains is required so that when one set is in the laundry the second set is hanging in the required spaces. Mesh: Mesh shall be 18 high mesh in a white color. Width varies according to location. See detailed information below. Privacy Curtains shall hang between 10 and 12 off finished floor. Post award measurements are required to be taken by the vendor. Measurements provided are approximate based on drawings. Vendor should be capable of providing installation of the tracks, carriers, mesh and curtains on a date determined by the KCVA. Privacy curtains are to be permanently labeled and easily identifiable as to their intended location and size (Room Numbers). Grey Market Goods: (a) Gray market items are Original Equipment Manufacturer s (OEM) goods sold through unauthorized channels in direct competition with authorized distributors. This procurement is for new OEM medical supplies, medical equipment and/or services contracts for maintenance of medical equipment (i.e. replacement parts) for VA Medical Centers. No remanufactures or gray market items will be acceptable. (b) Vendor shall be an OEM, authorized dealer, authorized distributor or authorized reseller for the proposed medical supplies, medical equipment and/or services contracts for maintenance of medical equipment (i.e. replacement parts), verified by an authorization letter or other documents from the OEM, such that the OEM s warranty and service are provided and maintained by the OEM. All software licensing, warranty and service associated with the medical supplies, medical equipment and/or services contracts for maintenance of medical equipment shall be in accordance with the OEM terms and conditions. (c) The delivery of gray market items to the VA in the fulfillment of an order/award constitutes a breach of contract. Accordingly, the VA reserves the right enforce any of its contractual remedies. This includes termination of the contract or, solely at the VA s election, allowing the Vendor to replace, at no cost to the Government, any remanufactured or gray market item(s) delivered to a VA medical facility upon discovery of such items.
