- Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source: US Fish and Wildlife Service, Region 2, Division of Contracting intends to award a sole source purchase order to Illumina, Inc. as a result of the circumstances detailed in the attached Sole Source Justification. The requirement is to provide the MiSeq System Integrated system including installation, training and one year warranty per attached Statement of Work. The MiSeq System is needed in the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Molecular Ecology Laboratory at Southwestern Native Aquatic Resources and Recovery Center, New Mexico for genetic sequence analysis projects. This announcement constitutes the only notice. This is not a request for quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. This purchase will be made under FAR 13.5, Simplified Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 13.106 ¿1(b)(1). Interested firms may identify their interest by providing a capability statement no later than Friday, July 19, 2019, 10:00 AM Mountain Time. The capability statement must provide clear and unambiguous evidence to substantiate the capability of the party to provide the required item. Oral communications will not be accepted. If no affirmative written responses are received to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, the award shall be made without further notice to Illumina, Inc.
