Page 3 of 3 Sources Sought Synopsis Only This is not a solicitation announcement. This is as sources sought synopsis only for a Robotic Prescription Dispensing System with maintenance and technical support. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (hubzone, 8(a), small business, small disadvantage business, Veteran owned small business (VOSB), Service disabled Veteran owned small business (SDVOSB), or large business) relative to NAICS 339112 Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing with a size standard of 1,000 employees. Note that if VA s pending market research establishes that two or more VOSB or SDVOSB, who are certified and verified in VA s Vendor Information Pages (VIP) site https://www.vip.vetbiz.va.gov/ can perform the service, VA will set aside the underlying solicitation per 38 U.S.C. §8127.   Responses to this synopsis shall be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this source sought synopsis, a solicitation announcement may be published on FBO and/or GSA eBuy. Responses to this source sought synopsis are not considered adequate responses to the solicitation announcement. All interested offerors must respond to the solicitation announcement in addition to responding to this source sought announcement. General Requirements: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network 7 Contracting Office. Product Information: Script Pro SP 200 or equal (Windows 10 ) with 3 data terminals and 4 printers. For a complete list of the salient characteristics refer to the attached proposed Statement of work. System needs to: Fills, labels, and collates up to 150 prescriptions per hour Holds up to 200 dispensing cells that are easily calibrated on-site Supports tablets & capsules of all shapes and sizes Gravity based dispensing with no pill dust and no cross-contamination Scalable control center with 6-slot collating control center that automatically collates filled and labeled vials into six slots Easy to read LED identifiers that displays the patient s identifier such as last name on the collating control center slots of the robotic dispensing machine The system can be configured to collate the prescriptions in various ways, such as for a given patient or dispensing priority The system prints and applies the prescription and auxiliary labels and collates the uncapped vials into slots for final inspection using onscreen drug image verification The system must interface with existing ScriptPro (SP 100) equipment for a two pod filling and verifying setup Communicate with VistA system currently in use via HL7 logical link to FQDN and HSEP port The system must interface with UPS VistA for mail tracking The system must include an inventory management module The prescription filling/dispensing machines must be lockable so that the person accessing the mediation cells is trackable Installation for Tuskegee and Montgomery Locations Technical support and maintenance, 24x7 hour telephone support and on-site repair if unable to resolve the issue.
