Description

NIST's BioProcess Measurements Group within the Biomolecular Measurement Division is responsible for the development of a variety of Reference Materials (RMs) and standard measurement methodologies that support accuracy and comparability of hydrogen-deuterium exchange mass spectrometry (HDX-MS) measurements. At NIST HDX-MS research is a component of the NIST Biomanufacturing Program. The NIST-owned HDX-MS instrument comprises of a TRAJAN LEAP PAL robot, a Cryo-HDX four valve chamber, six Thermo Scientific Vanquish and 3000 series chromatography pumps. NIST must purchase the TRAJAN LEAP HDx-3 PAL robotic rail replacement that integrates and supports the Trajan's advance HDX-MS technology and proprietary software. Trajan designed and manufactured the TRAJAN LEAP PAL robot as well as the controlling software, all of which is proprietary. Trajan, Inc. doesn't authorize 3rd party service or design providers, and they are the only company has the knowledge or the ability to provide this service and equipment.
