Description

In accordance with FAR 5.101(a)(1), this is a notice of intent to award as sole-source order. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PORPOSALS ans a solicitation will not be issued. The USCg Training Center, Cape May, NJ intends to solicit, negotiate and award on a sole source basis a firm-fixed price purchase order to acquire Flight Helmets (please see below) to Aerial Machine & Tool Corp (DBA) Capewell Aerial Systems LLC, 4298 JEB Stuart Hwy, Meadow of Dan, VA 24120. This venodor is the exclusive distributor for Gentex Corporation who is the OEM for the helmets and helmet accessories. Intent to purchase the following Gentex HGU-56/P Flight Helmets: PN: 1560013 Color: USCG Blue, Size: Small 2 Each PN: 1560014 Color: USCG Blue, Size: Medium 4 Each PN: 1560015 Color: USCG Blue, Size: Large 3 Each The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source in accordance with FAR 13.106(b)(1) and under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." There is no Small Business Set Aside. The applicable NAICS code 339113. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Goverment not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
