The purpose of this notice is to conduct market research and obtain information from qualified vendors with special interest. No solicitation is being issued at this time. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. Scope of Work The Bronx has provided a cook chill advanced tray meal delivery service for many years. Over this next year, we will be transitioning to a full Room Service cook serve style meal delivery. This change is in effort to support Patient Centered Care and Patient Experience to improve patient satisfaction. With the new meal delivery system, the quality of the food served to our Veterans will be greatly enhanced. Additionally, Veterans will be able to make daily meal selections from a broad, restaurant style menu. Room Service has become the industry standard to deliver nourishing meals in healthcare food service. Room Service contributes positively to the Veteran experience, by providing Veterans with their choice of foods when they want it, putting true meaning to Veteran-centered care. Much of the focus on the movement towards Room Service includes improved satisfaction. Room Service has been shown to not only yield improved satisfaction with food, but also impact the overall satisfaction with the healthcare experience. Implementing Room Service is a National Strategic goal for Nutrition and Food Service. The induction pellet heater system is required in order to do this. Training: The vendor will be responsible for providing manuals and training the VA employees on the products to ensure that all staff are fully trained and completely competent to perform the required work.
