- The National Park Service has a requirement to procure veterinary services to include timely and reliable, routine and emergency vet care for the Ocracoke Island Pony herd. This care consists of twice yearly visits to provide teeth floats, vaccinations, hoof trimming, and general wellness exams for all 16 members of the herd. Emergency services will include euthanasia and end of life planning and treatment of illness or injury. This requirement is conducted under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b) and FAR 6.302-1. This is a notice of intent to award a sole/single source procurement action and is not a request for competitive proposals. Firms who want to challenge the sole source must submit an interest letter that demonstrates your firm's ability to provide an equivalent supply as described above. Interested parties must provide rationale as to why they should be considered. All interested firms must respond to this synopsis by 26 July 2019, 1500 Eastern Local Time to Pamela Lyons, 606-246-1059 or pamela_lyons@nps.gov. National Park Service intends to negotiate a firm fixed-price purchase order with COASTAL ANIMAL HOSPITAL PA INC, BYP 158 KITTY HAWK NC 27949. The NAICS code for this procurement is 541940 with a small business size standard of $7.5. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES and no solicitation will be issued; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer, Pamela Lyons at pamela_lyons@nps.gov within 3 days from the date of the publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement listed. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This notice in no way obligates the Government to award any contract nor is the Government responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice.
