Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation 70Z080-19-Q-P45J6800 for a commercial items prepared in accordance with the format outlined in FAR Subpart 12.6, FAC 2005-87 (Apr 2016), and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The NAICS code for this solicitation is 333618. Due to this acquisition being a Brand Specific Procurement it is not anticipated by the Contracting Officer that the number of responses to this RFQ will provide ample responses to warrant a Small Business Set-A-Side, therefore in accordance with FAR 19.502-2(a) this IS NOT A Small Business Set-A-Side. Per FAR 6.302-1, the USCG Surface Forces Logistics Center located in Norfolk, Virginia intend to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Purchase Order for parts. Contractors submitting quotes shall be Caterpillar Authorized Parts and Services Centers only. Contractors submitting quotes shall provide verification documentation from OEM Manufacturer (CAT). This synopsis/ solicitation is issued pursuant to FAR 13.106-1(b), and the resultant purchase order will be awarded using simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR 13. NOTE: THIS NOTICE MAY HAVE POSTED ON FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (21-JUN-2019). IT ACTUALLY APPEARED OR REAPPEARED ON THE FEDBIZOPPS SYSTEM ON 18-JUL-2019, BUT REAPPEARED IN THE FTP FEED FOR THIS POSTING DATE.
