Description

United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Forest Service, National Forests in Alabama is requesting proposals for asphalt roof replacement and installation of standing seem metal roof with ridge vents, flashing and trim on the District Office building and the Pesticide Storage building located on the Talladega Ranger District, Talladega, AL 35160. The work to be performed by the contractor consists of, but is not limited to, the complete removal of the existing asphalt shingle roof including all deteriorated or damaged roof components and the installation of standing seem metal roof with ridge vents, flashing and trim. The existing gutters, vent pipes, and TV dish on the District Office shall be removed prior to construction and reinstalled in a manor to allow proper functioning. Any components replaced shall be of the same material, color, and grade. This solicitation is a 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE. The resultant contract will be firm fixed priced contract issued to one contractor. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 238160 Roofing Contractors, with a Small business size standard of $15M. This construction project has a magnitude between $25,000 and $100,000. AN IRREVOCABLE LETTER OF CREDIT (IRC) IS REQUIRED NOTE: Offeror must be ACTIVE in the System for Award Management ( http://www.sam.gov ) at the time solicitations are due. Those contractors not active in SAM at the time solicitations are due will be rejected and not considered for award. A site visit will be held on August 01, 2019 at 11:00am Central Standard Time (CST) at the Talladega Ranger District Office. SEE SECTION L OF THE SOLICATION. While this is not mandatory it is strongly recommended that all interested contractors attend the site visit.
