Description

1. Identification of the agency and the contracting activity, and specific identification of the document as a "Limited Source Justification." This is a sole source justification. Contracting activity is the Naval Sea Systems Command, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Panama City Division (NSWC PCD), 110 Vernon Avenue, Panama City, FL 32407-7001 2. Nature and/or description of the action being approved. This action will award a firm fixed price purchase order to Thales Defense & Security, INC, 22605 Gateway Center Dr., Clarksburg, MD 20871-2001 (CAGE Code 23386) to acquire training on the from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM).. The is a proprietary item manufactured exclusively by Thales Australia Limited and sourced through their USA distributor, Thales Defense and Security, Inc. The training being acquired requires proprietary knowledge of the 3. A description of the supplies or services required to meet the agency's needs (including the estimated value). The contractor shall provide / training in Panama City, Florida for two weeks. The training shall be tailored for the Panama City technicians who already have a working knowledge of the and maintenance procedures. Use of any other vendor would result in substantial duplication of manufacturing, testing, documentation, and installation effort. Thales Australia, sourced through their USA distributor, Thales Defense and Security, Inc., is the only manufacturer for the. 􀂙 No other contractors are authorized to manufacture the or has the proprietary knowledge required conducting training.
