- Description
- SPECIAL NOTICE NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE Prostate Ultrasound System The Department of Veterans Affairs, The Louis Stokes Cleveland Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center, 10701 East Boulevard, Cleveland, Ohio 44106 intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106 - Contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available, and VAAR 819.7007, Sole source awards to Service disabled Veteran-owned small business concerns. The VA intends to solicit and negotiate with Janz Corporation, an authorized SDVOSB, distributor for Hill-Rom, 6950 Americana Pkwy, Suite F, Reynoldsburg, Oh 43068, for overbed tables for the Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) Patients. Purchasing the overbed tables are needed to enhance the patients experience in acute SCI and Long-Term Spinal Cord Injury patients. The Hill-Rom Art of Care Overbed Table-OBT-636 can provide this for them. The Fixed Caregiver Module is a storage unit on the table. The SCI and Long-Term patients need their items within arm-reach. With this extra storage, they can hold anything from their tablet to their phone or any other personal need item. The portable vanity mirror and storage unit fits neatly on the left or right top side of the table. Most of the SCI and Long-Term patents cannot feel their legs. When the tables are lowered, standard under surface vanity mirrors put pressure on their legs causing their circulation to stop, the portable vanity mirror gives the patient the flexibility to have it wherever it is convenient and viewable The Dual Food Service Trays, again are convenient for the patients, they need their items within reach. When a caregiver brings in their lunch tray, patients can accommodate their food tray without moving their laptop or whatever they are working on to another location. The hygiene wipe dispenser is another feature that is on the table. This helps keep them in reach for them when they have any form of an accident. The turning fork base is needed on the table because the SCI and Long-Term patient s beds have so many mechanical enhancements incorporated into the undercarriage of their specialty beds, the turning fork base is able to fit underneath the bed without harming any of the enhancements.
