VA Network Contracting Office 23, Black Hills, is issuing this Sources Sought Synopsis to determine the suitability for a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), or other Small Business set-aside for plumbing drain maintenance services for the Minneapolis VAMC area (see draft Statement of Work below). This is not a request for quotes or proposals and any such submitted in response to this notice will not be evaluated. Vendors who are interested in this requirement should respond to this notice by providing: a. A short capability statement outlining their ability to provide the service b. (annual) 1 Emergency drain services 1 Respond directly via email at: Stephen.holly@va.gov Statement of Work The Minneapolis VA Medical Center needs a contract for the maintenance and repairs of drains located throughout the VA facility. This contract will aid in maintaining the functions and sanitation of the drains, as well as provide emergency coverage for drains that have become clogged, backed up, or broken and are not functioning as designed. In recent years the drains have become increasing difficult to maintain due to age and deterioration. The drains have suffered damage over time, and now have become problematic which affects patient services, and employee working environments. The following services to include materials, and equipment are need for this contract. Dietetic department, 225 of pipe to be power augured and water jetted requires 400 of hose. SPS supply room, quarterly pipeline preventative maintenance of 125 of 8 power augured requires 8 double cutter to perform. Laundry room basement, annual pipeline preventative maintenance of 125 of 4 power augured requires 4 double cutter to perform. Laundry room mechanical room, annual pipeline preventative maintenance of 125 pf 4 sewer line, power augured requires 4 double cutter to perform. Laundry room mechanical room, annual pumping, cleaning, disinfecting, and waste removal of two (2) waste tanks totaling @ 3000 gallons. Equipment requires, man lift, rescue harness equipment, methane gas detection equipment, necessary safety equipment. Loading dock lift station, annual pumping, cleaning, waste removal of @ 3000 gallons. Work involves removal of steel covers, entering tanks, hand shoveling, power flushing, disinfecting, and clean-up of entire work site. Equipment requires, man lift, rescue harness, methane gas detection equipment, necessary safety equipment. Emergency room ambulance garage, annual pumping, cleaning, disinfecting, and waste removal of @ 1000 gallons. Equipment required is standard safety items. Building 47 main trunk line, annual pipeline preventative maintenance of 225 of pipe to be power augured, and power jetted. Equipment requires 400 of hose.
