- 36C25219Q0785 2 The Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) in Milwaukee, WI is searching for vendors with the capability to provide generator maintenance and testing. The work is to be performed at the Adam Benjamin Jr., VA Outpatient Clinic in Crown Point, IN. The vendor must be able to meet all the requirements discussed in the scope of work below. All interested, responsible sources must submit a summary of their capabilities to this office by 08:00 AM CST on Tuesday, July 30, 2019. This response must include a description of the firm s experience in maintaining equipment, DUNS number, name and a point of contact in case further information is needed. Submit summaries to Brandon.Harris@va.gov. Only responses by email will be accepted. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation. The purpose of this RFI is to determine availability of qualified vendors and assist in market research. The Government may or may not issue solicitation documents. Scope of Work Project Title: Generator Testing and Maintenance Description: Perform annual generator inspection and testing Scope of Work: The contractor is to supply labor, materials and equipment to perform the following work located at the Adam Benjamin VA OPC, 9301 Madison, Crown Point, IN 46307. The scope of work includes but not limited to the following: Submit quotes for a five-year (base year plus four option years) maintenance contract. Contract will consist of annual and semi-annual maintenance Annual generator maintenance: Oil Change Fuel polishing Fuel/Air/Oil filter change Coolant Sample Belt, Battery and Hose checks Top off fluids Start and run unit to check functions Required two-hour load bank test Testing and inspection of two ASCO 7000 power transfer switches Semi-annual generator maintenance: Check all fluid levels Sample all fluids Belt, battery and hose checks Start and run unit to check functions Provide VA with all testing, inspection and maintenance documentation, as required by NFPA and Joint Commission. The VA will clear the work area for the work to be performed. Any testing requiring the loss and restoral of power to the clinic will require prior consent and coordination of the Clinic Manager and Engineering Department. Due to the location and function of this work the contractor will be required to notify the VA Police 24 hours in advance of any work to be performed outside of normal clinic operating hours. The contractor is responsible for the removal of all waste materials associated with this work. The contractor is to provide to the VA, submittals for all materials used. These submittals are to be approved by the VA prior to the purchase and use of all materials.
