Description

NASA John F. Kennedy Space Center (KSC) intends to solicit American Crane & Equipment Corp. (ACECO) on a sole source basis for the purchase of a 30-ton high-bay bridge crane for use in the Operations & Checkout Building. ACECO is located at 531 OLD SWEDE RD DOUGLASSVILLE, PA, 19518-1299. KSC will conduct this acquisition pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1) and 13.501(2)(ii), Soliciting from a single source, which states, "[c]ontracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available (e.g., urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand-name or industrial mobilization)." The attached Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition explains the rationale. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (25-JUL-2019); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
