- Description
- The 452 Operational Contracting Office at March Air Reserve Base intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for a firm-fixed price construction contract for maintaining exterior paint for Building 429, (PDPG 17-0121) at March ARB CA. The statement of work requires an asbestos and lead base paint survey prior to start of construction; results will determine if abatement is necessary. In addition to paint, work will also consist of repairing and sealing exterior surfaces and removing existing paint from all windows. This is a historical building and all work shall have the same appearance as the original. This acquisition is a total set-aside for small business. The applicable North American Industry Classification System code is 238320 with a size standard of $15,000,000. The magnitude of construction is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. Contract period of performance is 90 calendar days. The Government intends to award a single Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract. In accordance with FAR 36.103 sealed bid procedures will be utilized for award of a contract. It is anticipated that the IFB will be issued electronically on or about 13 August 2019, on Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website https://www.fbo.gov, with a bid due date tentatively scheduled for 12 September 2019 at 10:00 AM PST. All amendments, questions and answers, etc. will be posted at FBO. No paper copies of the solicitation will be provided. After the IFB is posted, interested parties are cautioned to review the site frequently for any updates/amendments. NOTE: In accordance with FAR 4.1102 and FAR 52.204-7, entitled "System for Award Management", Prospective contractors shall be registered in System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award of a contract. Recommend registering immediately at https://www.sam.gov in order to be eligible for a timely award. A formal site visit is scheduled for 20 August 2019 at 9:00 AM PST. Parties interested in attending site visit are instructed to complete the attached pass information sheet and email to Amy.Crain.1@us.af.mil and Norman.MacRunnel@us.af.mil, no later than 16 August at 1:00 PM PST. After emailing completed form call 951-655-3227/5758 to confirm receipt. Only individuals vetted and cleared by the 452nd Security Forces Squadron will be allowed on base.
