Description
Trees and Stumps Stumps only Task Two: The Removal of 230 Trees and 242 Stumps Two hundred and thirty (230) trees identified begin from the start of the property by the front entrance up to the traffic circle past the Public Information Center (PIC). This includes trees located on left, right, and middle of the road entering and exiting GNC. All trees locations and stump grinding are identified in Picture 1 image below. The Contractor shall ensure that at the end of every business day, the trees cut on that day are removed from the property and the area is presented in a clean, neat, and professional appearance. Background: Turf damage, bare spots. Root system encroachment into irrigation control boxes, retaining Walls and other paved surfaces Performance Period: Work shall be performed Monday through Friday from 8:00am 4:30pm. Type of Contract: Firm-Fixed Price Place of Performance: Georgia National Cemetery, 2025 Mount Carmel Church Ln., Canton GA, 30114. Contract Worksite Map: Picture 1 National Cemetery Administration (NCA) Georgia National Cemetery (GNC) GNC TREE REMOVAL - STATEMENT OF WORK GENERAL INFOQMATION 1. Title of Project: GNC Tree Removal The Georgia/NC has an abundance of trees resulting in: (1) bare areas of turf, (2) low branches hanging over roadways, (3) root system encroachment into irrigation control boxes, retaining walls and other paved surfaces. Excess trees need to be removed for the safety of all visiting the cemetery. 2. Scope of Work: The Contractor shall provide all resources necessary to accomplish the deliverables described in the statement of work (SOW), except as may otherwise be specified. The Contractor shall ensure that the services provided do not interfere with daily services scheduled at the cemetery and to ensure minimal interference to daily cemetery operations. This shall be accomplished by the contractor communicating with the COR and GNC Supervisors. Work performed will be presented in a clean, neat, and professional appearance throughout the work site and at the end of the work day. Crane location, parking vehicle(s) will be subject to direction of Georgia National Cemetery Contract Representative and Supervisors. SPECIFIC MANDATORY TASKS AND ASSOCIATED DELIVERABLES Description of Tasks and Associated Deliverable: The Contractor shall cut and remove two hundred and thirty (230) trees ranging from 4 inches to 12 inches in diameter and 8' to 30' feet in height and the grinding of two hundred and forty-two (242) stumps at the completion of this contract. The contract shall include the total price to cut and remove from the property 230 trees, along with the grinding of 242 stumps. Costs shall be inclusive: Materials, labor, crane, grinding of stumps, removal of trees and debris, etc. Task One: Project Management Plan (PMP) The Contractor shall provide a detailed PMP and briefing for the Director/Assistant Director, Cemetery Caretaker Supervisor, and COR with VA specifications, which represents the Contractor's plan for successfully completing the task. At a minimum, the PMP shall include the Contractor's approach to management of the project schedule, resource (staffing), quality control, risk management, communications, configuration management, change management, and issues log. The PMP should also contain performance measures for these items. The Contractor shall be required to provide a weekly status report that addresses the above PMP requirements. The Contractor shall keep the PMP up to date throughout the period of the contract. The PMP must be delivered 5 business days from date of award.
