Description
In accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b), this Notice of Intent is to inform all parties the Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 19 located at 6162 South Willow Drive Suite 300, Greenwood Village, CO 80111 intends to award a sole source procurement for the following requirement to the small business manufacturer, Hocoma, Inc., 77 Accords Park Dr. Ste. D1, Norwell, MA 02061-1623 ITEM # DESCRIPTION OF SUPPLIES QTY UNIT OF ISSUE 0001 ArmeoSpring 1 EA 0002 ManovoSpring 1 EA 0003 Cart 1 EA 0004 Extended Warranty 4 YR The Armeo Exoskeleton by Hocoma, Inc. is a utilized piece of equipment for clinical rehabilitation use utilized within the VA Spinal Cord Injury Clinics (SCI) across the United States. The system provides selective robotic assisted joint control. The device can be locked to only focus on one joint area at a time versus the entire arm. The device provides continuous adaptation of patient weight distribution to meet clinician/patient needs. The joint lock control allows for tailoring to each individual patient rehabilitation need with individual recording of progress via 3D images. Data collected from patient rehab is shared in a national research database to better assist future veteran SCI patients. Hocoma, Inc. is the only manufacturer of the Armeo Exoskeleton. The associated North America Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 334510 and the Business Size Standard is 1250 employees. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement no later than 2:00 PM Eastern Standard Time, Wednesday July 31, 2019. Information received in response to this notice must clearly demonstrate the capability of meeting the Government s need as stated above. Include any relevant information (specifications, cut sheets, brochures, capability statement, etc.) confirming the ability to supply the products and/or any services outlined in this notice. Responses to this notice are to be sent to colleen.vargas@va.gov. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government is not responsible for any potential costs incurred from interested parties desiring to respond to this notice.
