Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 19 hereby provides notice of its intent to award a sole source, firm fixed price contract to Sirtex Medical Inc., 300 Unicorn Park Dr., FL 2, Woburn, MA, 01801-3346. A Justification for Single Source Awards IAW FAR 13.106-1 For Over Micro-Purchase Threshold but Not Exceeding the SAT ($250K) was prepared. The contract will be for the following items: 8 each SIR-Y001, SIR-Spheres Y-90 resin microspheres 1 each SIR-V001, V-Vial 1 each SIR-D001, Delivery Set 1 each SIR-H001, V-Vial Holder 1 each SIR-S001, Syringe Shield The items are required by the Oklahoma City VA Health Care System in Oklahoma City, OK, and associated facilities. The items are required to aid in the treatment of veterans with unresectable metastatic liver tumors from primary colorectal cancer with adjuvant intra-hepatic artery chemotherapy. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement no later than August 2, at 3:00PM, MT. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Department of Veterans Affairs, NCO 19, will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this notice of intent. Only written responses will be considered. All responses from responsible sources will be fully considered. As a result of analyzing responses to this notice of intent, the Government shall determine if a solicitation will be issued. Any prospective contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to be eligible for award. Interested parties are encouraged to furnish information by email only with Response to Intent to Sole Source for Y-90 SIR-Sphere Microspheres in the subject line. All documents submitted will not be returned. All interested parties shall submit clear and convincing documentation demonstrating their capabilities to satisfy the requirements listed above to Loretta Schmidt by email at Loretta.Schmidt@va.gov. The capability documentation should include general information and technical background describing in detail the prospective contractor's capabilities and experience that will demonstrate the ability to support this requirement.
