Description
NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Regional Procurement Office East, Network Contracting Office 2 (NCO 2) intends to award a sole source contract award to Siemens Industry, Inc., 6075 East Mollory Rd. Bldg. 4, Syracuse, NY 13211. The period of performance for contract award will be from September 23, 2019 to September 26, 2019 with no option years. This requirement is to provide instructor(s), on-site classroom instruction, and all educational supplies to train twelve (12) Syracuse VA employees on the Siemens Desigo HVAC control system software. Training should be equivalent to Siemens Workstation I class to provide students with hands-on guided exercises and discussions to prepare students to perform day-to-day operations of the Desigo CC Management Station located at the Syracuse VA Medical Center, 800 Irving Avenue, Syracuse, NY 13210-2716. All work shall be performed by Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Siemens Industry, Inc. Siemens Industry, Inc. is the only known provider since the equipment and software is proprietary therefore may only be provided by Siemens Industry, Inc. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification prior to the response due date and time. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to perform the requirements. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the award. Responses are due by August 6, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. (ET). Responses shall be submitted via e-mail to Kimberly.wiatrowski@va.gov. Telephone requests or inquires will not be accepted.
