- Page 1 of 4 U.S. DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS (VA) VHA OFFICE OF PATIENT ADVOCACY (10H) STATEMENT OF NEED (SON) Period of Agreement: One Year from Award of Contract/Task Order with Option of Four (4) Additional Years at the Discretion of the Government: DESCRIPTION OF NEED The requested need will support the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. The Veterans Health Administration (VHA) s Office of Patient Advocacy (OPA) s mission is to honor America's Veterans through the delivery of world class advocacy services to advance and influence the health care of our Veterans. The success of our work and mission will require partnership with and participation in a global community of practice with thought leader on improving the patient experience in healthcare. The Vendor will be an established organization with a wealth of experience and information, including white papers, research, and other learning forums. Specifically, the OPA is seeking to procure an organizational membership for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, spots in the Patient Experience Leadership Program, registrations for the annual symposium, and a line item for special partnerships, initiatives and programs developed during the period of agreement which would or could become future stand-alone line items. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked Proprietary will be handled accordingly. Responses to the Sources Sought will not be returned. At this time, questions concerning the composition and requirements for a future Request for Quote will not be entertained. SUBJECT: The Department of Veterans Affairs is conducting market research in order to provide Annual symposium Training Services for the Washington DC VA Medical Center. The Government anticipates awarding a Firm Fixed Price contract that will provide the support services listed within the below attachment 1. RESPONSE INSTRUCTIONS: Name, Address, and DUNS of Company Any small business designation as certified by the Small Business Administration A thorough description of experience in managing support requirements of this nature.
