- Under FAR regulation 13.104 the Government anticipates entering into sole source procurement negotiations with Getinge for providing a service maintenance contract on Maquet Intraaortic Balloon Pumps currently located at the Edward Hines Jr VA Hosptial, VA Medical Center located in Hines, IL. The above authority is cited and justification made based on the determination that the Government's minimum needs can best be satisfied by services available from one source. This announcement is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under FAR 13.106-1(b). Other vendors may identify their interest by sending a capability statement that they have access to the proprietary upgrades, OEM Parts and OEM Training and send proof they are an authorized provider of service by the OEM. If interested, please respond to this Special Notice by August 7th 0800 Central Time. Only email responses will be recognized. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all interest received on or before August 7th 0800 Central Time will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation document is available.
