Description
This is a Sources Sought (SS) Notice only, not a solicitation announcement and should not be considered as such. There is no solicitation available at this time. The Government will not pay for any information received in response to this SS, nor will the Government compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing the information provided to the Government. This SS does not constitute a commitment by the Government. Any information provided in response to this market survey will be used for informational purposes only and will not be released. Vendor participation is not a promise of future business with the Government. The purpose of this Sources Sought is to conduct Market Research to determine an acquisition strategy for the acquisition of a Spectralis Tracking OCT System. VAMC Cleveland is requesting the Spectralis OCT 2 with OCTA. The Spectralis OCT2 is a retinal imaging device that is utilized for retina and glaucoma care at the Cleveland VA Eye Clinic. It allows for detection of retinal abnormalities by acquiring cross-sectional images of the retina that shows microscopic retinal anatomy and abnormalities, in addition to measuring retinal tissue thickness and optic nerve parameters that aid in the diagnosis and management of optic nerve disease. The OCTA feature enables non-invasive visualization of retinal vasculature. We currently have the original Spectralis OCT 1, The Spectralis OCT2 unit will replace our older Spectralis OCT HRA which has historical patient data from 2008 to present that shall be transferred to the new unit. Over 10 years of information have accumulated on this system for thousands of patients, which will continue to be used with this new OCT for management of those veterans with chronic eye diseases. The equipment includes; Spectralis Tracking OCT System OCT w/OCT2 BluePeak Multicolor 1 EA OCT Angiography 1 EA The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 10, is conducting market research to determine if there are a sufficient number of Small Businesses capable of performing the requirements to warrant a set-aside. The proposed solicitation will be to furnish all materials, labor, equipment and transportation required to provide Spectralis Tracking OCT System to the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center. Contractor shall also comply with any other federal, state, and local laws applicable to the industry. Potential sources shall demonstrate experience and knowledge of requirement and capability to provide such commodities. Potential sources should submit: business name and address; point of contact; business size, and any applicable business socio-economic category; capability statement; provide information for recent and relevant projects similar in nature; Recommended alternative product Manufacturer and Part Number; IFUs (Instructions for Use) for alternative recommended products; Literature detailing the specification of any ALTERNATIVE RECOMMENDED PRODUCT; DUNS number; contract number if applicable; brochure of equipment. The NAICS code for this procurement is 333314 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. Responses to this notice shall be e-mailed to Christopher A. Callihan at christopher.callihan@va.gov. Telephone responses will not be accepted. Responses must be received in writing no later than 3:00 p.m., Friday, August 9, 2019.
