Description

This Sources Sought notice is being posted to satisfy the requirement of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) 206.302-1(d). The Naval Air System Command (NAVAIR), Patuxent River, Maryland, intends to issue a Sole Source Fixed Price-type contract to Raytheon Missile Systems (RMS), Tucson, AZ. for the Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) for the Miniature Air Launched Decoy-Navy (MALD-N). The proposed action is for services and supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." RMS is the original designer, developer and manufacturer of the Miniature Air Launched Decoy (MALD) and, as such, owns the proprietary data that is required to perform the efforts under this requirement. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (02-AUG-2019); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
