Description

INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) intends to negotiate and award a sole source purchase order to the National Academy of Sciences, 500 Fifth Street NW, Washington, DC 20418 for support of the National Academy of Medicine's Leadership Consortium for a Value and Science -Driven Health System project. The purpose of the purchase order is to support the acquisition of health care evidence, knowledge and recommendations for experts, leaders and industry stakeholders about Leadership Consortium topics and projects. The sole source award will be made under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 235 ( C ) ( 1 ) as implemented by FAR6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies and Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. A justification and approval is currently being processed for this requirement. This requirement is intended as a sole source procurement because the National Academy of Sciences' work and discussion papers are solely generated by this entity. The objectives and independent analyses and work across the Leadership Consortium topics is only available to CMS from the NAM.
