SOURCES SOUGHT DESCRIPTION This is NOT a solicitation announcement. This is a source sought/RFI for market research only. The purpose of this source sought/RFI is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification relative to NAICS 337214 (size standard is 1,000 Employees). Responses to this source sought will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this source sought, a solicitation announcement may be published. Responses to this source sought synopsis are not considered adequate responses for a solicitation announcement. DELIVERY GLA Interior Designer will coordinate the delivery date and time with the selected vendor. Delivery of product will come all at once unless otherwise instructed and will be delivered to: 11301 Wilshire Blvd, B297, Los Angeles, CA 90073 will be required in 60 days after receipt of order. Items will be Drop Ship only. Duty hours will be 8:00am-12:00pm. The Government recognized US holidays are: New Year s Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. If the holiday falls on Sunday, it is observed on Monday. Coordinate all products and services to order, ship, and deliver new furniture from the manufacturer until final acceptance by the COR. Vendor shall deliver materials to job in manufacturer's original sealed containers with brand name marked thereon. Vendor shall package to prevent damage or deterioration during shipment, handling, and storage. Vendor shall store products in dry condition inside enclosed facilities. All delayed delivery arrangements, within 60 days, shall be at no additional cost to the Government. INSTALLATION This requirement does not require an installation. WARRANTY All furniture shall be covered under standard warranty from the first day of delivery. VENDOR FURNISHED ITEMS AND RESPONSIBILITIES The selected vendor shall furnish all items as described in the statement of work. Do not use VA dumpsters for disposal of scrap/waste without prior VA approval. The contractor shall be responsible for providing any sample materials for awarded product (2-Day Delivery) if requested by VA Interior Designer. The product must not be placed into production without clearance from the VA COR. The contractor shall track manufacturing schedule and notify VA Interior Designer with updates of estimated completion date by email. The contractor shall provide 30 days free storage. The Contractor shall provide a point of contact. INSPECTION AND ACCEPTANCE The Interior Designer or Contracting Officer Representative (COR) shall inspect the delivery and sign off of any and all missing or damaged products in the form of a delivery manifest, vendor provided. The Interior Designer or Contracting Officer Representative (COR) shall ensure all delivery of merchandise is completed and received satisfactorily prior to acceptance. Disputes shall be resolved by the Contracting Officer. INTERFERENCE TO NORMAL FUNCTION The selected vendor may be required to interrupt their work at any time so as not to interfere with the normal functioning of the facility, including utility services, fire protection systems, and passage of facility patients, personnel, equipment and carts. In the event of an emergency, work performance may be stopped and rescheduled at no additional cost to the government. The selected vendor s personnel shall inform the Interior Designer or the designee of the need to gain access to secured areas. If access is required to secure areas, prearranged scheduling will be made with Interior Designer or designee. The information identified above is intended to be descriptive, not restrictive and to indicate the quality of the supplies/services that will be satisfactory. It is the responsibility of the interested source to demonstrate to the government that the interested parties can provide the supplies/services that fulfill the required specifications.
