Description
This synopsis is to inform industry that the Government intends to modify contract W15P7T-14-C-C012 to increase the contract ceiling by $9,589,098.30 from $71,465,823.66 to $81,054,921.96 and extend the period of performance (PoP) by six (6) months from 26 August 2019 to 26 February 2020. The contract was awarded to Quad Erat demonstrandum (QED) Systems, Limited Liability Corporation (LLC) on 27 February 2014 and provides engineering, logistics, operations, and business support services for PD Aerostats/ Project Manager (PM) Terrestrial Sensors. The Government intends to modify this contract pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements to the current prime contractor. An increase in the ceiling of the current contract is required to maintain services for the 6 month extension period. In addition, a contract extension is required because award of a follow-on contract was delayed after multiple protests of the award were filed. While other companies have the required expertise and experience, only the current contractor has the required resources in place and would not require any transition time to fulfill the Government's current immediate need. The Government projects award for August 2019. This synopsis is provided for informational purposes and is not to be considered a request for proposal. However, all responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (08-AUG-2019); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
