Description

PRESOLICITATION NOTICE This document serves as notification of an upcoming solicitation for a construction project Project 583-19-502 Replace Fire Dampers: It is the intention of the Richard L Roudebush VA Medical Center to solicit bids for the following: Correct all damper deficiencies as list on the contract drawings. Work includes replacing fire dampers, smoke dampers, and combination dampers, removing 3 LF of existing ductwork to aid in removing each of the dampers, installing 3 LF of new ductwork, replacing or installing new access panels, and testing each of the new dampers. Test each new damper within the presence of the VA COR to ensure that each new damper functions properly. Ensure that each new damper takes up the entire opening within the duct that it is installed in and leaves no gaps. All above work to be done in accordance with contract drawings and specifications. This project will be procured as 100% set aside for Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) used for this requirement is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. with a standard size of $36.5M. The magnitude of this construction project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Contract awardee shall provide all supervision, labor, equipment, training, materials, supplies, and incidentals necessary to accomplish the work in accordance with the terms, conditions, specifications & drawings provided. The VA will issue an IFB on or about 15 August 2019 via FEDBIZOPPS.gov. A site visit will be scheduled prior to the closing of solicitation, and the date, time and location will be posted in the solicitation.
