Description
This market survey is to support the FAA acquisition for a Brand Name or Equal requirement. The FAA requires a total quantity of 800 Radio Frequency (RF) crystal detectors currently used in the Terminal Doppler Weather Radar (TDWR) transmitter microwave assembly. This requirement is part of the TDWR Service Life Extension Program (SLEP) as mandated by congress. Interested vendors must offer the HeroTek Detector DSL561-515 (Raytheon part number G406987-3) or equal item with the following salient characteristics: Brand name or equal to Herotek detector DSL561-515, Raytheon Part No. G406987-3 National Stock Number 5895-01-363-7150 Peak input power: +47 dBm with pulse width of 0.9 to 1.25 us at a PRF of 2000 Hz Sensitivity: Input of +5 dBm, output voltage +0.8 VDC minimum, input of +20 dBm, output voltage +1.7 VDC minimum. RF bypass capacitor: 20 pico-farads Video protection: Protect upto +/- 100VDC on the video output of the detector and clipper shall limit voltage to the RF detector to +2.1 VDC and -0.7 VDC maximum. Mechanical: It shall be hermetically sealed and be able to be stressed for torque. Dimensions: 1.31 length and 0.31 diameter Compliance with MIL-STD-883 Reliability: The RF crystal detector must have a Mean Time between Failure (MTBF) of at least 100,000 hours. A Draft Statement of work is provided as an attachment to this Market Survey. The purpose of this market survey is to solicit statements of interest and capabilities from all businesses that are interested in and can show capability of meeting requirements as noted above for these detectors. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code and size standard for this effort: 334511 Search, Detection, Navigation, Guidance, Aeronautical, and Nautical System and Instrument Manufacturing Size Standard: 1,250 Employees Responses to this market survey will be used for informational purposes only. This is not a screening information request or request for proposal or quote of any kind. The FAA is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals. The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing a response to this market survey. Therefore any cost associated with a market survey submission is solely at the interested vendor s expense. The Contractor must furnish all labor, tools, parts, software/hardware/firmware, expendable and consumable items, and other technical and administrative support as necessary to meet the technical requirement for these detectors. In order to meet the capability determination the FAA requires the following from interested vendors: Capability Statement - Type of services provided by your firm - Size and type of services provided on previous contracts - Number of years in business - Documentation that clearly states the interested vendor can meet this Brand Name or equal requirement.
