- Description
- FDA will perform an experimental technique that requires the transfer of RNA and DNA directly into the nucleus of a cell to cause double stranded DNA breaks. This will allow for the introduction of nucleotide insertions or deletions, and for the introduction of exogenous DNA sequences into targeted genomic regions. We will also transfer double stranded oligodeoxynucleotides (dsODNs) into the double stranded breaks in the genome. These dsDNA sequences must be delivered directly into the nucleus of the cell, and cationic lipid mediated methods will not work.
