Page 2 of 2 The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 15 intends to award a sole source contract under the authority of 41 U.S.C 253(c) (1) FAR 6.302-1 Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, to Enrec Enterprises, DBA, Culligan of Greater Kansas City (CGKC), located at 19625 West Old 56 Highway. CGKC will provide maintenance and repair of the CGKC equipment. The high purity water systems located at the VA Medical Centers in Leavenworth KS and Topeka KS consists of the following: Carbon Filter, AmeriWater reverse osmosis, deionization tanks, storage and distribution system. The deionization tanks are a critical component of this system and are the sole property of and serviced by CGKC. The method of separating and regenerating the medias within these tanks is proprietary to CGKC. The place of performance is for the Dwight D. Eisenhower VA Medical Center located at 4101 4th Street Trafficway, Leavenworth, KS 66048 and the Topeka Veterans Affairs Medical Center located at 2200 SW Gage Blvd, Topeka, KS 66622. The NAICS code is 811219 with a size standard of $20.5 Million. The solicitation number is 36C25519Q0738. This action will result in a Firm-Fixed Price contract with a period of performance of twelve (12) month Base year plus four option years. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations; interested parties may express their interest by providing a capabilities statement NLT August 20, 2019 at 3:00 PM CST. The capabilities statement must provide clear and unambiguous evidence to substantiate the capability of the party to provide the required services. A determination not to compete this proposed contract upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Verbal responses are not acceptable and will not be considered. When responding to this announcement, respondents should refer to Announcement, Notice of Intent. If after August 20,2019 no viable responses have been received in response to this announcement, Department of Veterans Affairs shall negotiate solely with CGKC. This notice of intent to award a sole source contract is not a request for competitive quotes. There will be no solicitation available for competitive quotes. Phone calls will not be accepted.
